UPSC CGPDTM Examiner Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 102 Posts

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for recruitment to the posts of Examiner of Trade marks & Geographical Indications (GI) under the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks (CGPDTM), DPIIT Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

The recruitment also includes two posts of Deputy Director (Examination Reforms) under UPSC. The total number of vacancies is 102. The online application process starting from December 13, 2025 and end on January 1, 2026. Candidates with required educational qualifications and within the prescribed age limit can apply through the UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria

For the post Examiner of Trade Marks & Geographical Indications

Essential Qualification

  • Degree in Law from a recognized University

Essential Experience:

  • 2 years’ experience in court cases/legal matters or Trade Marks & Geographical Indications

Desirable Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property

Relaxation:

  • Qualifications relaxable by UPSC for well-qualified candidates.
  • Experience relaxable for SC/ST candidates if sufficient experienced candidates are unavailable.

Deputy Director (Examination Reforms)

Essential Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Humanities / Science / Commerce / Engineering / Technology / Law / Management / Finance / Account

Essential Experience:

  • 5 years’ post qualification experience in teaching at degree level / research/Preparation of teaching learning material / Curriculum development / education testing / examination reforms / development & administration of online examination   
  • Desirable Qualification:
  • 1-year Diploma in Computer Applications from recognized Institute

Relaxation:

  • Qualifications relaxable by UPSC for well-qualified candidates.
  • Experience relaxable for SC candidates if sufficient experienced candidates are unavailable.

Salary

  • Examiner of Trade Marks & Geographical Indications (GI) – Level-07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
