Category-wise Distribution

Eligibility Criteria

• Education Qualification: Intermediate (10+2) from a recognise education board/Institution
• Language Requirement: Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric Standard or higher education
• Additional Note: No extra weightage will be given for any higher education
• CET Requirement: Candidates must have qualified Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group- C with minimum 50% marks for general category and 40% marks for reserved category

Salary/Stipend

• Pay Scale: Rs. 21,700 Level: 3 Cell-1
• Applicable For: All three categories (Male Constable General Duty, Female Constable General Duty, Male Constable GRP)

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• Minimum age: 18 Years
• Maximum age: 25 Years for all CET Group C qualified candidates as on 01.01.2026
• Age Relaxation: 5 years relaxation for Schedule Castes, Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories as per Government instructions
• For Ex-servicemen: The break in service between the date of discharge and 1^st day of the month (01-01-2026) in which enrolment process is started, shall not exceed four years as per rule 12.24 (1) (c) of Punjab Police, 1934
• Special Note for Previous Applicants: For candidates who applied against advt. 14/2024, age limit was 18-25 years as on 01-09-2024, However, they must apply afresh

Selection Process

• Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Qualifying nature test based on height and chest measurement as per prescribed standard   
• Height Standards:
• Male General Category: 170 cm
• Male Reserved Category: 168 cm
• Female General Category: 158 cm
• Female Reserved Category: 156 cm

• Chest Standards (Male Only)
• General Category: 83cm expanded with 4 cm expansion minimum
• Reserved Category: 81 cm unexpanded with 4 cm expansion minimum

• Physical screening Test (PST): Qualifying nature test to judge physical fitness and endurance
• Male: 2.5 Kilometre in 12 Minutes
• Female: 1.0 Kilometre in 6 Minutes
• Ex-Serviceman: 1.0 Kilometre in 5 Minutes

• Knowledge Test: 97% weightage comprising objective type, multiple choice question

General Instructions

• Candidates who earlier applied against Advt. 14/2024 must apply afresh for this advertisement

• The recruitment will be made strictly in accordance with CET Policy for Group -C dated 31.12.2024 and its amendment dated 11.07.2025
• Standard digital measurement devices shall be used for Physical Measurement Test
•  RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device) or superior technology shall be used for Physical Screening Test
• Adequate number of candidates will be invited on the basis of CET merit for PMT and PST (both qualifying)
• Commission shall shortlist candidates equal to ten times the advertised posts for each category for Knowledge Test
• The commission may conduct examinations in batches as deemed necessary
• All rules/instructions prevailing on opening date shall be applicable
• Candidates should fil the online application form carefully and upload all required documents
• No offline application form will be accepted
• OMR sheets have tree folios – candidate must not mark anything on Commission copy
• Use of eraser, nail, blade, white fluid/whitener on OMR sheet will result in cancellation

Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification

• Matriculation or its equivalent from recognized board.
• Only Matriculation certificate shall be accepted as a proof for establishing age of the candidates

All educational certificates other than Central Board/State shall be accompanied with Government notification declaring the equivalence of such qualification for service under Government

Sports Qualification

• Players who have participated or won medals in international or National level competitions between 15-012024 to 15-01-2026.
• Individual Event (International): Sportsperson who have participated or won medals in any international Sports tournament/Competing/Championship as member of the India contingent conducted/recognized by International Sports Federation affiliated/recognized by IOC/IOA/MOYAS
• Individual Event (National): Players who have won medals in National Games/Senior National Championship conducted/recognized by National Sports Federation affiliated/recognized by IOC/IOA/MOYAS
• Team Event (International): Sportsperson who have participated or won medals in international Sports tournament/Competing/Championship conducted/recognized by International Sports Federation affiliated/recognized by IOC/IOA/MOYAS
• Team Event (National): Sportsperson who have won medals in National Games/Senior National Championship/National Open Championship or Youth/Junior National Championship while representing any State/UT/Sports Control Board/recognized Federation.
• Sportsperson should be the main playing member of the team and not in reserved list for team events
• Minimum qualifying marks: 12 marks (for all categories UR/SC/ST/OBC)

Desirable

• First Preference: Candidates who have represented the country and won medals in order of their priority (Gold/Silver/Bronze/participation) in Senior, Junior or Youth categories in international tournament/ competition/championship.
• Second Preference: Candidates who have represented and won medals or position up to 3^rd place in National Games/Senior National Championship/National Open Championship or Youth/Junior National Championship.

• Age Relaxation for SC/ST: 5 Years
• Age Relaxation for OBC (NCL): 3 Years
