Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for recruitment to the posts of Examiner of Trade marks & Geographical Indications (GI) under the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks (CGPDTM), DPIIT Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
The recruitment also includes two posts of Deputy Director (Examination Reforms) under UPSC. The total number of vacancies is 102. Essential Qualification
- Degree in Law from a recognized University
Essential Experience:
- 2 years’ experience in court cases/legal matters or Trade Marks & Geographical Indications
Desirable Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property
Relaxation:
- Qualifications relaxable by UPSC for well-qualified candidates.
- Experience relaxable for SC/ST candidates if sufficient experienced candidates are unavailable.
Deputy Director (Examination Reforms)
Essential Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Humanities / Science / Commerce / Engineering / Technology / Law / Management / Finance / Account
Essential Experience:
- 5 years’ post qualification experience in teaching at degree level / research/Preparation of teaching learning material / Curriculum development / education testing / examination reforms / development & administration of online examination
- Desirable Qualification:
- 1-year Diploma in Computer Applications from recognized Institute
Relaxation:
- Qualifications relaxable by UPSC for well-qualified candidates.
- Experience relaxable for SC candidates if sufficient experienced candidates are unavailable.
